The Bishop Farm Hotel is structured
around a stunning 17th century farmhouse. Various modern additions
to the hotel have increased facilities without detracting
from the pleasant country atmosphere.
Many of the
timbers are original, as is the magnificent brick fireplace
in the hotel bar, which has a genuine Charles II wrought iron
back plate.
There is still
a tunnel, now closed, connecting the hotels cellars with Michelham
Priory, which was probably built in the cavalier & roundheads
time of the civil war.
